A hurricane glass is a tall, curvy glass shaped like an old hurricane lamp, used for tropical and blended drinks.

In practice

It usually holds 15 to 20 oz, with room for crushed ice, fruit garnishes and a straw. It's named for the Hurricane, the rum drink made famous in New Orleans, and suits the Piña Colada too.
