How to make an Egg Nog #4

To make an Egg Nog #4, blend with ice and pour into a mug: 6 egg yolk, 3 oz simple syrup, 16 oz milk, 4 oz light rum, 4 oz bourbon, ¼ oz vanilla extract, 8 oz whipping cream, 6 egg white and nutmeg. Garnish with salt.

    Rim the glass: run a lime or lemon wedge around the outside edge, then roll the edge in salt on a small plate.

    Add egg yolk, simple syrup, milk, light rum, bourbon, vanilla extract, whipping cream, egg white and nutmeg to a blender with about a cup of ice.

    Blend until smooth, about 20-30 seconds (add a little more ice if you want it thicker).

    Pour into a mug.

Why blend? Blending egg yolk and simple syrup with ice gives a smooth, frozen texture.

No simple syrup? Blend in 4 tbsp sugar instead.
