How to make an Adam & Eve
To make an Adam & Eve, shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass: 1½ oz gin, 1½ oz cognac, 1½ oz Creme de Cassis and ¼ oz fresh lemon juice.

Chill a cocktail glass: fill it with ice and water while you mix, then tip it out.

Add gin, cognac, creme de cassis and fresh lemon juice to a cocktail shaker.

Fill the shaker with ice.

Shake hard for 10-15 seconds, until the outside is frosty.

Strain into the chilled cocktail glass.
Why shake? Fresh lemon juice needs a hard shake to mix and chill properly.
