Warm a mug by filling it with hot water, then empty it.

Heat milk, chocolate and cinnamon gently in a small saucepan (or the microwave), stirring, until smooth and steaming, without letting it boil.

Take it off the heat and whisk in the egg yolk until it thickens, without letting it boil.

Pour it into the warmed mug.
Why heat it gently? Milk, cream and chocolate scorch if they boil.
