How to make a Lemouroudji
To make a Lemouroudji, build over ice in a highball glass: 2 pieces ginger, 126¼ oz water, 12 oz simple syrup and cayenne pepper. Garnish with lemon.

Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.

Pour in ginger, water, simple syrup and cayenne pepper.

Stir briefly to mix.

Why build it in the glass? Ginger, water and simple syrup only need a gentle stir, so there's no shaker to wash.
No simple syrup? Muddle 1 cup sugar with a splash of water in the glass until it dissolves, then carry on.
