How to make a Jam Donut
To make a Jam Donut, layer carefully into a shot glass: ⅔ oz Baileys irish cream, ⅓ oz Chambord raspberry liqueur, ¼ oz simple syrup and ⅓ oz simple syrup.
You'll need
- Baileys irish cream⅔ oz
- Chambord raspberry liqueur⅓ oz
- Simple syrup¼ oz
- Simple syrupor 1½ tsp sugar + a splash of water⅓ oz
Pairs well with: Simple syrup · All syrups
Instructions
- 1
Pour the ingredients into a shot glass one at a time, heaviest first (usually the sweetest, lowest-proof liquid) and lightest last.
- 2
Pour slowly over the back of a bar spoon held just above the drink, so each layer floats on the one below.
- 3
Serve straight away, before the layers mix.
Why pour slowly? Heavier liquids sink, so pouring gently over a spoon lets each layer float on the one below.
No simple syrup? Muddle 1½ tsp sugar with a splash of water in the glass until it dissolves, then carry on.
