How to make a Duchamp's Punch

To make a Duchamp's Punch, shake with ice and strain into a rocks glass: 1⅔ oz pisco, ¾ oz lime juice, ¾ oz pineapple syrup, ½ oz St. Germain, 2 dashes Angostura Bitters, 1 pepper and 2 sprigs lavender.

    Add lavender leaves and pineapple syrup to a cocktail shaker and press gently with a muddler or the end of a wooden spoon to release the oils and juice.

    Add pisco, lime juice, St. Germain, Angostura bitters and pepper to the shaker.

    Fill the shaker with ice.

    Shake hard for 10-15 seconds, until the outside is frosty.

    Strain into a rocks glass over one large ice cube.

Why shake? Lime juice needs a hard shake to mix and chill properly.
