How to make The Laverstoke

To make The Laverstoke, build in a wine glass: 1⅔ oz gin, ½ oz elderflower cordial, ½ oz rosso vermouth, 2½ oz tonic water and 1⅓ oz lime. Garnish with ginger and mint.

You'll need

1 drink

Pairs well with: Elderflower cordial · All syrups

Instructions

  1. 1

Add lime, cut into wedges and elderflower cordial to a wine glass and press gently with a muddler or the end of a wooden spoon to release the juice.

  2. 2

Pour in gin and rosso vermouth.

  3. 3

    Top with tonic water.

  4. 4

    Give it one gentle stir.

  5. 5

Garnish with a ginger and a mint sprig.

Why build it in the glass? Nothing here needs shaking, and pouring straight in keeps the tonic water fizzy.
