How to make a Strawberry Margarita

To make a Strawberry Margarita, shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass: ½ oz Strawberry schnapps, 1 oz tequila, ½ oz Triple sec, 1 oz lemon juice and 1 oz strawberries. Garnish with salt.

You'll need

1 drink

Instructions

  1. 1

Chill a cocktail glass: fill it with ice and water while you mix, then tip it out.

  2. 2

Rim the glass: run a lime or lemon wedge around the outside edge, then roll the edge in salt on a small plate.

  3. 3

Add strawberries to a cocktail shaker and press gently with a muddler or the end of a wooden spoon to mash it.

  4. 4

Add strawberry schnapps, tequila, triple sec and lemon juice to the shaker.

  5. 5

    Fill the shaker with ice.

  6. 6

Shake hard for 10-15 seconds, until the outside is frosty.

  7. 7

Strain into the chilled cocktail glass.

Why shake? Lemon juice needs a hard shake to mix and chill properly.
