How to make a Mint Julep
To make a Mint Julep, build over ice in a rocks glass: 4 fresh mint, 2½ oz bourbon and ¼ oz simple syrup.

- Simple syrupor 1 tsp sugar + a splash of water¼ oz

Add mint leaves and simple syrup to a rocks glass and press gently with a muddler or the end of a wooden spoon to release the oils and juice.

Fill the glass with crushed ice.

Pour in bourbon.

Stir briefly to mix.
Why build it in the glass? Mint leaves, bourbon and simple syrup only need a gentle stir, so there's no shaker to wash.
No simple syrup? Muddle 1 tsp sugar in with the mint leaves instead.
