Give it one gentle stir.
Why build it in the glass? Nothing here needs shaking, and pouring straight in keeps the soda water fizzy.

What's the difference between a Jitterbug and a Gimlet?
Both use gin, lime juice and simple syrup. The Jitterbug adds vodka, grenadine, sugar and soda water. The Jitterbug is built in the glass and served in a cocktail glass; the Gimlet is shaken and served in a cocktail glass.
