How to make an Algonquin
To make an Algonquin, shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass: 1½ oz blended whiskey, 1 oz dry vermouth and 1 oz pineapple juice.

Chill a cocktail glass: fill it with ice and water while you mix, then tip it out.

Add blended whiskey, dry vermouth and pineapple juice to a cocktail shaker.

Fill the shaker with ice.

Shake hard for 10-15 seconds, until the outside is frosty.

Strain into the chilled cocktail glass.
Why shake? Pineapple juice needs a hard shake to mix and chill properly.
